01 — Define the work
State one primary professional activity in language that matches your CV, portfolio, invoices and future plan. Identify which clients can continue from Thailand and where credible German demand may come from.
02 — Test route and location
Check the residence route available to your nationality and occupation, then compare cities through work prospects, living costs and local procedure. Do not sign a long lease solely to make an incomplete plan look settled.
03 — Build coherent evidence
Collect contracts, letters of intent, qualifications where relevant, financial records, insurance information and a practical revenue forecast. Resolve contradictions instead of hiding them beneath more pages.
04 — Prepare the landing
Arrange temporary accommodation carefully, understand registration requirements and date the transition between insurance policies. Protect enough savings for deposits, authority delays and a slower first billing cycle.
05 — Recheck before action
Official requirements change. Verify current embassy and local authority guidance shortly before filing, and seek regulated legal or tax advice when your case calls for it.
