Engine Craftcore was founded to help independent workers approach German relocation with calm, evidence and realistic expectations. We know that a freelance application rarely fits a neat template: a designer with overseas retainers, a consultant changing client markets and a craft practitioner opening a local studio each need a different account of viable work.
Our approach
We begin with your actual work—contracts, commissions, invoices, portfolio, savings and plans for clients in Germany. Then we place the administrative steps around that reality. Advice is written in plain English, assumptions are labelled, and questions requiring a lawyer or tax adviser are referred rather than guessed at.
Led from Munich
Principal adviser Mara Klein has spent eight years supporting international independent professionals with relocation planning and administrative preparation. Earlier work in Bangkok and Chiang Mai shaped the practice’s understanding of Thai documentation, long-distance client relationships and the practical gap between embassy guidance and arrival in a German city.
What matters here
Accuracy comes before reassurance. Privacy matters when people share bank records and contracts. Cultural context is treated with respect, without reducing either Thailand or Germany to stereotypes. Above all, each client leaves knowing what to do next, what remains uncertain and who is qualified to answer questions outside our scope.
